Writing Lore for my Game
Imagine you have a game, like The Windwalker of all Times. How do you create lore for it? Well, think of your game as a book first. Imagine a separate time period. You should ask why things are what they are, and how they came to be. It’s easy, but what happened during that time period the characters keep mentioning in your game? If you don’t use RPGMaker, you can flesh out your story using Snowflake Pro. Basically an author’s version of RPGMaker. Try using Plottr if it seems too outdated for you. Weirdly enough, RPGMaker uses the Snowflake Method. It magically made me understand my plot points. That’s the magic of the method. Another question to ask is if it works as a game, a book, a movie, etc. Just try prototyping if it works for you. Even mood boards! Think of why a certain mechanic works and how or how it won’t work bare. The more you develop, the more you think. The magic of RPGMaker is how you can backtrack and change the engine with no issues!
